DANE MacCARTHY
Dane MacCarthy was Senior Vice-President of Human Resources, and had Research as part of his empire. Since Don Mills, then Director of Research, was not considered worth consulting as he was part of the problem, the "mismanagement, fraud and corruption" memo went to Dane.

Dane MacCarthy 2I met Dane, and his helper Tom Goldie, several times. Tom still works for Ontario Hydro, and recently got promoted. Dane was very pleasant, just not very honest as it turned out. I got annoyed with him when he indicated he was going to whitewash the investigation (before it started).
A few months after the PII case went into Arthur Anderson, Dane "moved" to Montreal to run the Canadian Electrical Association for two years before retirement.
